The Pink Battle Creek:
The Battle Creek, or Battle Creek Special is tied with an orange front hackle, rather than the pink I used here.
It is attributed to Northern California tier John Spencer, but is also popular up the coast to Alaska for steelhead, trout (especially when there
is salmon eggs or flesh) silver and coho salmon. Pink seems to be a good color for winter steelhead around here. I plan to try it soon.
