tying note: I tie pretreat the medallion with Watershed, tie at 90 degrees across the hook, fold each side up, wrap the post and hackle when tying in, wrap hackle down. Separate the post, add a drop of head cement.

tying note: I pretreat the sheeting with WaterShed. Hackle can be wrapped a couple turns in back of the wings, a couple in front - or figure 8 the wings for more of a "thorax fly" look. I trim the center bottom hackle.

indicator: small pinch of egg yarn.

tying note: I tie the antron yarn in along back 2/3 of hook, to the back, wrap forward two wraps, then tie the "tail" on top, clip, run the thread then antron forward. then tie the wing butts around the eye - wrap with antron, pull wing back on top and cinch with thread. add legs.
